I shot and killed a neighbors Rottweiler after he became aggressive with my 3 and 4 year old kids.

I told him several times to contain his dog because it was being very aggressive. He told me that if it came on my property causing trouble to "drop him".

So I did.

Same thing here almost...the owner said he didn't give a sh#t whether if I had to take care of the dog(s).
When it came down to that his whole extended family took it as I had killed a relative. Unbelievable.

I'm glad the consensus leans in our favor, as most rational people would be. If you own aggressive and dangerous dogs be prepared to lose them if they stray off the reservation.

As a side note - we have some close friends who raise Rotweilers - they have 6 they keep as pets. Even though these dogs are friendly to me, these folks keep them in the pen when I'm there.
