As the combat has trailed off in Lebanon, it can now be said that whatever Israel’s losses, it has discovered a great comedic genius: Prime Minister Ehud Olmert—a man who sent his army to war, but only after tying its shoelaces together. In fact, Olmert is more than a performing comedic artist; he is also a director of a war cabinet that encompasses a veritable Shakespearean company performing a seemingly endless comedy of errors. Olmert’s defense minister, Amir Peretz, offered to make peace with Syria scarcely hours after a ceasefire in a war promoted by Syrian rockets and propaganda. Only a few hours later, Syrian president Bashar Assad was so impressed by the peace offer that he again threatened to go to war directly against Israel.

PC warfare will only perpetuate a state of war. We need to remove these notions of what is right / wrong in warfare.

If the Arabs got rid of their weapons, there'd be no more war.
If the Israelis got rid of their weapons, there'd be no more Israel.
As such, we KNOW what will happen if Israel ever truly loses...of course, there will also likely be a lot of mushroom clouds showing up over Arab cities, random cube-shaped black rocks and certain very large dams in Egypt, but that's another discussion.

It's as if leftists are incapable of recognizing evil, and they think that everyone is just as good-hearted as they fancy themselves to be.
I don't know how they can recover from this. Israel will likely elect Likuud, but here in the States...we'll likely get the opposite...the Rats...
I can't understand why so many seemingly intelligient people can't see that our focus on 'world opinion' is seen a a sign of weakness. Wars now are won or lost in the media, not the battlefield. I'm suprised that Israel seems to have adopted this view.

Look at Lieberman--the test case for unloading pro-Israel politicians, and Jewish pro-Israel polititians. Only they called it a "referendum on Iraq." All you had to to was read the Lamont blogs to understand that the Soros (nee Shwartz) progressive wing has established that a politician does not have to support Israel to be elected--and supporting Israel will shortly be a liability. Overt anti-Israelism (as opposed to simple benign neglect) is the next step.

Next step total abandonment of Israel? There is no spin here. I ask with real interest and real concern.
