I see this as being quite significant, so long as this sort of thing continues.

I'm constantly depressed and surprised (though I know I shouldn't be by now) at the number of people I talk to in my day to day life who have not one damn clue what is going on in the world. We truely are a celebrity-centric culture, with people paying more attention to who is dating who in Hollywood than goings-on in the world at large.

Hopefully, if numerous celebrities continue expressing the sorts of views put forth in this ad, the realization that we're under a grave threat will begin to seep into the public's consciousness. Perhaps people will begin to wake up and take things seriously...maybe even begin to prepare for the all out war I feel is inevitably coming.

Hopefully this isn't wishful thinking on my part. It's depressing that those who're most likely to be listened to in our society are actors and musicians, but there it is, and I'll take what I can get at this point.

Absolutely. I often see posters lamenting the fact we aren't fighting the way we did in WWII. Well, this is a start in turning public opinion just like then. How much it matters, depends on how long it lasts.

But as far as I'm concerned, it's a good start. Like you, I'll take what I can get. We need to win this struggle....with the help of as many people as possible.
