True, but I'd like to see them put their time and money where their mouth is.

Bought a large ad in your local paper to thank the troops lately?

Any idea how many USO tours and pro-troop appearances these people have made time for? How sure are you that none of them send stuff over? Sandler just donated large sums off money to Israel for relief, and Sinise collects stuff fo soldiers and stuff for them to distribute to Iraqi kids.

The bottom line is that these people did the opposite of what the rest of the Hollywood scum are doing, and your first thought was to condemn it.

First off, yes, I've given to causes for the troops. I'm not rich, but I do what little I can along with many other FReepers here. If they HAVE done something for the troops besides talk, I'll be among the first to thank them. Our military is our backbone and we can never do enough for these fine people. Sir, please don't think I'm condemning their ad - it's wonderful. All I'm saying is we need more than talk, we need action. Our troops deserve nothing but the best and if I had the money these people do, I'd be pouring it into our heroes and their beautiful families. I'm sure most on FR would do as much. Just saying I'm grateful just isn't enough. And condemning hezbollah isn't enough. If you feel strongly about something, DO something!
I haven't heard Cher say much about the war, but she's fighting for better helmets for our troops. That tells me a lot more about her than some "ad" ever could!
