Look at the money. Look at who funds Hollywood. Look at their spiraling viewership. This is an effort to stem the tide. Nothing more.

I don't believe a word these people say outside of how it affects their own well being.

Not only that, but I give credence to a cabal of actors about as much as I would give a convention of hairdressers. Their opinions mean nothing to me. They're a-c-t-o-r-s, for God's sake. They make their livings pretending.

"This is an effort to stem the tide. Nothing more."

Well maybe for some mentioned in the article, but Jimmy Woods has been a supporter of the WOT since the getgo.

I must admit I'm more than a little skeptical about their motives and can't help but wonder if this is an attempt at damage control. It seems like everything they make today is either lowest-common-denominator cultural drivel or loaded with messages to turn our young people into good little Marxists. I'm sitting here watching The Third Man on TCM and I know in my gut that they'll never make anything like this again -- it's beyond them. It's not just that they've seen their best days, it's that everyone knows it.
