Four Congressmen, Michael McCaul, Ted Poe, Sheila Jackson Lee and Gene Green held a Congressional hearing in Houston today. I drove in last night to be there. Demonstrators from both sides began showing up at 5:00 a.m. 90% of the PRO-Illegal crowd was bussed in by an orgaizaton known as "The Metro Organization" (TMO)which is sponsored by the Catholic Church who wants illegals here. They need the Mexican Catholic's money since attendance has fallen off due to the Child Molesting Priests Scandal.

The Chair, Congressman McCaul and GOP Congressman Ted Poe were GREAT!!! Gene Green (D) wasn't too bad. Sheila Jackson Lee was her same old "witchy" self. The Chair wanted to show a video of violence on the Texas border and she objected to he video being shown. The Chair overruled her. She also addressed the PRO-Illegal Demonstrators before the hearing.

All 17 "witensses" that testified before the Committee were ANTI-Illegal Immigration and ANTI-Amnesty. Sheriffs Flores and Jernigan from Laredo and Del Rio respectively were present and "on fire" as was the head of Border Patrol.

Some highligts of the Hearing:

--A Jan. '06 a secret memo from Washington warned Border Patrol officers that they were targeted by assassins.

--25 homicides a day committed by illegals in the U.S.

--Last year, 42 Americans were kidnapped in Laredo, TX

--It takes a minimum of 2 yrs. for an illegal murderer to be deported.

--135,000 convicted illegals have been ordered deported but eight nations will not take them back.

--Foreigners (legal or illegal) who marry American women with kids from a previous marriage can take the ex-husband's kids to any country in the world via Mexico.

--Increased Patrol Presence DOES decrease crime by illegals.

--Mexican criminals have better resources than local law enforcement on the borders; e.g. money, grenades, assault weapons, body armor, etc.

Sheriff Jernigan of Del Rio asked: "How many city and Federal law enforcement officers must die before our government does something?"

Congressman Green replied: "Well, nothing this year with Congress on vacation and then only two months before they leave to campaign for the midterm elections......hopefully, next year."

Knock off the anti Catholic crap.

Oooooh. Guess I touched a nerve. Did I say something that wasn't true? Huh? Huh? Huh? Or, are you still in denial?

Anti-Catholic? Please, the Church cannot be beyond reproach with it's tentacles all over the immigration issue. They are a major advocate on behalf of illegals.

Thanks Texas_Jarhead

How is Sheila Jackson Lee going to keep the black vote if she supports illegal immigration.

Point well taken. Many blacks, who are hardworking people, resent the illegals getting on the dole. Then some blacks actually fear the illegals will get their share. Either way, the black community has no love lost for the illegals coming into America.

I stand by my statement. It's a known fact that attendance at Catholic Mass in America has fallen off drastically; maybe not in your parish, but nationwide, you know it's true.

Here is a link to some video. And, not any bashing, but the Catholic church was behind the organization of the opposition. We have emails as well as video. Not bashing, just the fact of the matter. You should definitely look at the first link where that guy was addressing us in Espanol, and becoming very animated and threatening towards us.
