snip - The child was diagnosed with a rare chromosomal disorder, known as cyclopia. She was born with a single eye in the center of her forehead, no nose and her brain fused into a single hemisphere. With such severe deformities, it was a miracle that the girl survived even a few minutes after delivery. Yet now, 11 days later, she has lived significantly longer than other cyclopean cases.-Snip

I am against abortion in all cases. Yes there are some who wouldn't "walk the walk" but that's true in many moral situations.

I don't go the religious route when discussing abortion because it turns people off. I look at it from a scientific and constitutional angle (An angle the MSM avoids). I believe that science and logic prove that a fetus is a human being. The Constitution says that we have a God-given right to life. In my view - case closed.

Carney reports that a problematic anti-cancer drug may have caused the deformity.

*I wonder which drug would cause derformities like that. Inquiring minds and all that.

My first instantaneous thought is that I hope she dies. My more reasonable feeling is that I hope someone is touched by the picture and takes her away from that sh*tty hospital.

I understand both sentiments thoroughly. She will die if she continues to be neglected like that.

I've looked but found nothing. I read a few articles that implied that she may survive.

I have a fantasy that she grows up and becomes an outspoken person against abortion.

We're expecting our 3rd child and it amazes me how much the system keeps us updated on any possible "problems" the implication being that we can terminate the child if we don't want to deal with Downs etc.
