ROSE, Lady Banks Rose
The exquisite Lady Banks Rose (Rosa Banksiae Banksiae) was found in China in the first decade of the Nineteenth Century. The thornless plant, among the most vigorous of roses, grows to heights of 50 ft and overgrows almost any structure it is trained upon. There is a single, early burst of flowers, among the earliest of roses. A single plant has been known to bear over 50,000 blooms.
