I liked "Sleeper", which came out when I was in grade school and Woody's current wife was a toddler. I have no idea about our friend in the story, Mr. Fitzgibbon. Thank God. I was just imagining a situation even more screwed-up and Springeresque than the one that actually happened.
Woody Allens earlier films were absolute comedy genius.
"Sleeper," "Everything you ever wanted to know about sex," and my personal favorite, "Take the money and run" are some of the funniest movies ever made.
But like Roman Polanski, just because one's really good at one thing, doesn't keep them from being scumbags in "real live."
