Hearing of things like this make me believe that satan is alive and well.
A news article the other day told of a man in San Antonio walking down the street holding his 13 year old daughter by the arm offering to sell her for sex. Neighbors got $100 together and "bought" her from him, called police, daddy is in jail, and the poor child is in foster care now. No mention whatsoever of where the mother was in all of this.

And I suspect that both of the girls will grow up with so much baggage, their lives will be a shambles. And they will have kids, and possibly pass this pathology on to them. Very likely. But there is a God, and he is merciful, and a healer. Prayers would be in order.

I liked "Sleeper", which came out when I was in grade school and Woody's current wife was a toddler. I have no idea about our friend in the story, Mr. Fitzgibbon. Thank God. I was just imagining a situation even more screwed-up and Springeresque than the one that actually happened.

Woody Allens earlier films were absolute comedy genius.
"Sleeper," "Everything you ever wanted to know about sex," and my personal favorite, "Take the money and run" are some of the funniest movies ever made.
But like Roman Polanski, just because one's really good at one thing, doesn't keep them from being scumbags in "real live."

Again, you are correct. I'll pray for them.

Neither political party has a monopoly on dysfuntional and/or criminal behavior.

What is "the woman's" name? Where is her photo?

Of course, it is not a monopoly. But there is a reason that the Dems want to see felons allowed to vote.
