Where do you live?
If you are not near a major U.S. city that the terrorists would have on the fav five list, then I would not bother.
Taking iodide can be tricky, and definitely should only be done if you have good medical directions on dosage to take and if you have a definite weather report that the radioactivity is blowing your way.
I wouldn't take it until I heard something happened near us
that would warrant taking it.
