Nope, not a distraction at all. How can you even dare to consider that the murder of thousands of people to be a "distraction"? Good grief!

Huh? Back off the caffeine. Several of us are asking if the plot could be a distraction for something bigger.

I thought of that earlier myself. The term I'd use is "diversion" though.
