He can't be worse than Lincoln Chaffee. There aren't too many Democrats with his national security and foreign views. And he's held some heretical domestic policy views at odds with liberal orthodoxy - notably support for school vouchers and personal retirement accounts in the past. Yeah, so he would be a perfect RINO. But considering what his party is becoming, that would be its loss and our long term gain.
