War protestors release balloons with notes inside (Sheehan)
KCEN ^ | 08/08/2006

Since anti-war protestors outside President Bush's Crawford Ranch have been unsuccessful in their attempts to talk directly with the president, today they wrote letters to him, placed the notes inside helium-filled balloons and released them.

They hope the balloons will end up on the president's property, and he will read the notes.

Great point.
The question is, then, did Cindy actually turn in the registration card, or was it another *photo op*?

I'm starting to get a little tired of Cindy. My sense of humor is wearing thin on her.

I'd really like to see some lunatic from even farther to the left than she is attack her son's name in front of her face. Ask her how it feels to be the mother of a "war criminal". Give the memory of her son the whole "Fred Phelps" treatment, directed right at Cindy.

I'd love to see her break down in front of the cameras as she realizes what she has become.

I really feel pretty lousy about having such mean feelings toward anybody. I apologize to anyboy that's offended.

Except Cindy. She's lower than a slime-trail behind a garden slug.

Well even if they were fined it would just mean more publicity, which is the idea in the first place.

I thought the property was purchased by a "third party". If that is the case, 'slamo Cindy's name would not be on the deed, so how can she register to vote if she does not legally own the property?

It was a straw purchase. The "third party" immediately sold it to Cindy after he bought it. So it's in her name now.

Hopefully just another attention grabbing photo op unless the title transfer was done ahead of schedule. A friend told me Cindy is spending precious little time outside. She poses for cameras then heads for the air conditioned Peace House.

To be eligible to register in Texas, you must:

be a U.S. citizen;
be a resident of the county;
be 18 years old (you may register at 17 years and 10 months);
not a convicted felon (unless a person's sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
not declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law

Littering and potentially killing sea turtles. Where is Greenpeace and the Sierra Club?

I believe it is illegal to release balloons now. Of course, only a Republican would be cited for a stunt like this.

Balloons with notes what a moonbat thing to do. what do the notes say? "Let peace happen" I'll bet.

Give them a ticket for littering.

Thanks for the voter registration info. I say we go with the "mentally incapacitated" rule. If the title transfer wasn't done she can't possibly be a resident,unless she's been using the Peace House address as her residence all this time. She was clever enough to buy the land, so she might be clever enough to have established residency. Poor thing is desperate to be a Texan, lol.

From Cindy's blog..... http://crawfordpeace.nfshost.com/

A year ago today, about 100 of us marched down Prairie Chapel Road in the awful Texas heat into history. Today, with very short notice, dozens of us marched down the same road, with the same results: no meeting with the cowardly cowboy wanna-be in chief.

I have to work, so I don't have the time to research all this. But, here's a start.

http://www.longwood.edu/CLEANVA/balloons.htm

This page claims that the release of balloons is illegal in several states and cities, including Virginia and (ding ding ding) TEXAS?
