There are no new pictures of the President or First Lady today, since they are spending some time together at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, but we know full well that there are no 'vacations' for this President, and that he is hard at work protecting America from danger.
So.......since there are no new photos, I'm posting several of my favorite ranch pictures just for fun, and will give my report on my husband's and my personal encounter with the President last week, and will post the photos taken from our very own camera.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on this slow August Daily Dose!
Yeah..........I got a little teary eyed when I saw old, faithful Spot walking by his master.....
LOL! I figured that mrs t!
THANKS for sharing your personal encounter w/ the CIC, Ohio. That's awesome!
Doing great, but REALLY busy!
And as for getting that signature for Eric.........it was an inspiration. :)
See first pic in post #17.
We feel extremely blessed to have met this man.
Oh.........and ALL CLEAR!!
Much better being busy than idle, IMO.
Speaking of being busy..........off to talk with daughter in England. Back later!
FABULOUS, ohio. The only word for your account of this wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing it w/all of us.
Oops!
I'm on the puter while talking on the phone..next door neighbor's home alarm goes off..they're at work so this is out of the ordinary..their 3 - count 'em - 3 - bassett hounds are howling..I'm in my white nightie (because I live in freedom at 3:30pm pacific time) but figure I can just put a shirt on over it and inconspicuously tiptoe over to see what's up..I phone my neighbor at work and she gives me the garage code and the alarm code..I go in to the house - leaving the garage and access doors open - and check out the house and wait for the alarm company call which never comes - here come the hounds!!! past me and out the door and down the street..mind you, I'm in my nightie running down the street after them when I finally remember the code name they *always* heed, yelling it and *finally* they come after me..I lead them in the house, close the doors, reset the alarm and come home. As I'm about to close my front door I notice the guy across the street laughing. Oh dear me..
You may now laugh. Has *anyone* ever done anything like this? Color me embarrassed.
Tiggy
Hmmm...yeah, sorta. Not fast enough for me. I'm ready to start walking again!
But the strongest feeling we had as we left to go home, was that God has blessed us with His servant, and that we can be deeply thankful for the man that God has chosen to lead us during these difficult days.
Amen!
All such wonderful pics today, thanks!
agaian am happy for you
getting that experience with "The!"
Thank God for this amazing man...for such a time as this.

Congrats!
Terrific read. ohio. You could've been a writer...uh, change that to you ARE one. At least when your subject is an in-person encounter with President Bush (Laura, Barbara, etc.)
