There are no new pictures of the President or First Lady today, since they are spending some time together at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, but we know full well that there are no 'vacations' for this President, and that he is hard at work protecting America from danger.
So.......since there are no new photos, I'm posting several of my favorite ranch pictures just for fun, and will give my report on my husband's and my personal encounter with the President last week, and will post the photos taken from our very own camera.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on this slow August Daily Dose!

Apparently the Hollywood folks didn't think that the average American movie goer would like it, though....... :)

Congrats on your Pentagon internship! The Tiggywinkle's are planning a Pentagon tour while in DC in November. It would be nice to meet you. :o)

I certainly hope that you're aware that you have pinged people to this thread who despise President Bush with every fiber in their beings.
And I hope you know that they won't be permitted to spew their venom on this thread.
Making me curious as to why you've done such a thing......

What I'm curious about is why this freeper I've never heard of was suggesting I was a troll on Monday's DOSE?
I mean just because I mentioned I took my screenname after Anne Coulter does not make me a troll.
I think the posters screenname was GentleStrength?
But if GS is out there pleas explain your post from last night.
Thank You!

Thank You and God Bless you and your family. I have been lucky enough to see President Reagan in New Hampshire in September 1985, President George Herbert Walker Bush campaigning in the rain on the day before he was defeated by Clinton in 1992 and President George W. Bush while campaigning in 2004. Never got any where near as close as you to any of them. It must be a great feeling as I get that from your description of his speech and his signing of the photo of your son Eric. Thanks for all your work on FreeRepublic.com

***Depends on the age. I've heard Marion for older men, but it evolved into a woman's name.***
I've read that Marion was originally a man's name. And so was Vivian.
Of course, many families have named daughters after their fathers by changing such names as Paul to Paulette. But, Marionette would be going too far. LOL!

***The actor Marion Morrison went to Hollywood and received the stage name "John Wayne." :)***
Oh, I never KNEW that. But have you heard that Bob Hope was actually named Leslie Hope? When he was a child he attended prep school and the teacher called the role last name first, so Bob had to answer to Hopeleslie.

Now, WS, I'll have to ping HOTD to this post as it reminds me of a couple of years ago the had a cutout of Elijah Woods as Frodo going around to different locations
Correct me if I'm wrong, Hair, but didn't you all at the HH threads refer to the stories as the aadventures of Flat Frodo? :o)
See post #90 posted by Wolfstar, it's cute!
