LOL ~
Too cool...
There you have it. I am guessing the label bought a good portion of those albums that have sold. (Remember J-Lo...it has happened before!) The numbers are not fabricated...they did sell those albums....it's just that the record label bought them back. It's spin, pure and simple. Hype begets hype (brokeback mtn, for example.) The theory is "if people think others are buying, they'll buy." Not working for them this time. The DC's insulted their fan base over and over, insulted our President, and alienated themselves b/c they couldn't just use some common sense and "shut up and sing." We don't want to hear their opinions. That's not why we buy CD's. I'll never buy one of theirs again, though. (I was a fan!)
Oh! LOL...
I was going to say these clucks were starting to smell like The Second Week of Deer Camp, I was hoping someone would hit that one out of the park.
For those that didn't get the joke, buy their greatest hits. These are genuinely great novelty songs with a beat. Great for that Sunday barbecue on the deck!
Oh... LOL...
Too funny... Dr...
It's a good thing.
I'm really curious who bought the 1 million CD's.
LOL....
*thanks, man..
Yeah, they were one of my favorites. Thet had some real country sounds. I miss 'em.
I think the Eagles already have that date, don't they? :)
Only by accident.
I recently transferred my entire ~5000 song music collection to my new 40Gb MP3 player.
My wife has a "country" folder and this was transferred as well. While listening to randowm tracks last weekend, I came across a Dixie Chicks tune.
I promptly searched the device for all such instances and deleted them.
My auditory sensors will require extensive riffs of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Buddy Guy to recover fully. I'm workin' on it.
Natalie looks like she swallowed Anna Nicole Smith.
She made too many return trips to the all you can eat buffet line.
He aint that bad!
It did tick me off to no end when they insulted our President on foreign soil, and I was done with them at that point. But I think what really did it for those "well, she does have a right to say what she wants, this is America" country folks is when she insulted country music listeners by stating they didn't want the kind of fans that had a Dixie Chicks CD in the changer with Reba and Toby Keith. I just shook my head and said "stupid, stupid woman - their goes what's left of your career".
