MURTHA CAMPAIGN STILL DISSEMBLING
Monday, August 07, 2006
Shoot-from-the-lip Congressman's campaign now picks up where he left off
(MONONGAHELA, August 7) -- Washington County Commissioner and Pennsylvania 12th district Republican Congressional nominee Diana Irey -- responding to yet another misleading statement from Jack Murtha's campaign -- today released the following statement:
"First it was Jack Murtha who was making misstatements of fact. Now it's his campaign. When will Jack Murtha and the people around him stop spreading falsehoods, and start telling the truth?
"Today his campaign posted a press release to its web site, claiming that I have made what it calls 'untrue attacks' against Jack Murtha.
"What, specifically, have I said about Jack Murtha that is 'untrue?'
"Jack Murtha, not I, was the one who said that U.S. Marines had 'killed innocent civilians in cold blood' before all the evidence was in.
"Jack Murtha, not I, was the one who said he got his information about the events at Haditha from Gen. Michael Hagee, the Commandant of the Marine Corps -- a claim specifically denied last week by a Marine Corps spokesman, who said Gen. Hagee didn't brief Jack Murtha until a week AFTER Mr. Murtha made his outrageous comments.
"Jack Murtha, not I, said in response to George Stephanopoulos' question about whether or not there was a 'cover-up' of the events at Haditha, 'No question about it I mean, it goes right up the chain of command. Right up to General Pace. When did he know about it? Did he order the cover-up? Who ordered the cover-up?' -- a claim specifically refuted in the Bargewell Report, which says there was NO deliberate cover-up, according to The Los Angeles Times and various other media outlets that have reported on its contents.
"When Harry Truman ran for President in 1948, supporters would shout 'Give 'em hell, Harry!' and his response was 'I don't give 'em hell. I just give 'em the truth, and they THINK it's hell!' Now I know how Harry Truman felt.
"There are 92 days left in this campaign. The good news is, that's plenty of time to make sure the voters of the 12th District know just who Jack Murtha really is."

You go Diana. It's time to get this crackpot out of Congress. He's a disgrace.
Diana, how dare you invoke TRUTH in a political campaign?? Talk about dirty tactics!!!! (sarcasm)
Jack Murtha is a sick old man, IMO. I think he could have a Capt. Queeg moment pretty soon....
Or Hell is Truth..
...every time he shakes his head! ;-)
Murtha and his campaign workers seem to be following the Dem doctrine which is that if they repeat a lie often enough, the people will believe it.
I say good for Diana Irey for pointing out those lies every time they are repeated.
Support Diana Irey, Vet4Irey, BootMurtha and help retire Murtha.

Great job!!!
With any luck, Murtha, the Dems' big "war hero", appears to be letting his alligator mouth write checks his candy azz can't cover. If there is any justice in this world, in November, Jack Murtha will be in the unemployment line for has-been losers!!

That's a really funny line by Truman, but oh, so true!
We all know all Dims lie...Tip O'Neill too..ALL POLITICS IS NATIONAL!
Are there any polling results out there?
Go Irey!
ROFLOL! Even Kerry never thought of that! :-)
Thanks for supporting Mrs. Irey and even though it's unusual for a House seat to be made a national issue, you are correct that this one has.
Our military and our veterans deserve better than to be represented by the despicable Murtha.
Thanks for supporting her campaign to retire and redeploy a despicable EX-Marine.
Below are a few reasons why Murtha can't stand to see the truth about him out in the open.
