Andy's Pizza in Jackson, Michigan is about as good as it gets.
Its real Sicilian Pizza, and yes, the family that started it does come from Sicily

I haven't gotten pizza there in ages, but 'Strictly to Go' in Concord, CA used to be fantastic. The day I picked up a bro from the BART station when he'd just graduated from USMC boot, we went directly there and got a 36 inch pizza. It wouldn't fit in the cab of the truck, so we had to put it in the back.
Also good- Marion's Pizza, Dayton OH. They cut it into squares, but it's good. And, it's a cholesterol watcher's worst nightmare.

If you like plastic cheese, go for Pizza Hut!This makes me sad to hear. I worked at Pizza Hut in the early 1970s, and back then, it was really good. FWIW, I was one of the reasons that Pizza Hut decided to go to electric ovens. I was involved in a gas oven explosion, and got 1st and 2nd degree burns on my face, and pretty bad 2nd degree burns (not quite 3rd degree) on my hands and arms.
But, back then, we made fresh dough every morning, as well as the sauce (although there was a "secret" spice packet we used). There were different recipes for both the sauce and dough for the standard dough and pan pizza. It was a lot of work, but boy, did it smell wonderful when it was proofing!

Village Pizzeria, Langley, Whidbey Island, WA. When (ex-Dodger manager and Italian food afficianado) Tommy Lasorda is in town he drops on by.
Best pizza I've ever had? An old place in West L.A. called La Barbara's. The owner retired in the late 80s after being in business for 50+ years. ...and didn't sell. Not just the best pizza, but the best Italian food in general. I sure miss that place.

I'm sorry, you must have been dropped on your head as an infant, and lost all of your tastebuds. :-)
