What a pile of crap, UK ranking higher than US, and North America lower than Europe? Apparently "Liberty" has a very different meaning to a liberal socialist who came up with this "Index."

Don't get too stressed out about this result. Many people consider North America to also include Central America and the Caribbean so this might have altered the result. You also have to add a hefty amount of reasonable error. But with that in mind, the relative rankings (+/- 10 positions) are fairly accurate.

What is particularly interesting is that the only major purple countries are the US, England, and Canada--i.e. the Anglosphere. It is also interesting to look at the blue countries--most of our major allies. And then the green countries--our associates (friendly, but not really strong allies). And finally, our enemies or antagonists in dark yellow or darker. It matches pretty darn good! A little too good to be a comfort of liberals who always claim that we base our foreign policy on money instead of freedom.

Correction: Australia is also part of the Anglosphere as well and they came a hairs width from being purple (~79.5%), which is consistent with my previous statement.
