Uhh, what happened was the early Arab Moslem armies came out of the Hijaz and started whipping up on the then occupying Persians.

The Arabs were warmly received all over the Eastern Mediterranean because of this.

I would imagine Arab fear and distaste for Persians is much more powerful than any concerns they have about the United States.

Much of this mess we have with Iran can be traced directly back to that ignoramus Jimmy Carter and his cowardice during the Iranian crisis.
