From what I have heard, and this may be incorrect, some of Corker's cash comes from oil revenue. This will be fodder for Ford to use.
Actually, Corker's fortune comes from development and real estate. He's worked with several extremely successful development firms that cross party lines.
He's been so successful, that many of his partners are now working in other cities to revitalize them the way that Chattanooga was.
He may own stock in oil, but he built his fortune from real estate.
