No, my '69 Merc (Marquis, FWIW) had a 429 cid. 7L engine with dual 4bbl Holley carbs. Got me from Tampa to Tallahassee on one tank (barely), and with a 22 gal. fuel tank, it was a road tank, to be sure.

If you drove that car today, you'd have to make several stops daily just to shake the Priuses out of the air filter!

My 1971 Four-door LTD, white with dark blue interior, was, without a doubt, the quietest car I've ever drove.

Top of the line engine, beautiful car...T-Boned by a hit-and-run driver...knodking me out, in Missouri City, Texas.

That car prolly saved my life, so I'm driving a big Ol' Buick Roadmaster now.
