I also believe we helped the attacks on 9/11.
We elected Clinton who allowed Al Quada to attack us without any retaliation.
Clinton had the chance to have Bin Laden handed over by Somalia and didn't take him
Clinton had the chance to take him off the face of the earth 4 different times and didn't do it.
All valid points.
However, I suspect the proportion of the 1/3 of survey respondents who check the 'helped or knew and did nothing to stop' option because they were thinking about the feeble 'response' by Clinton and his refusal to accept the offer of bin Laden to US custody as being objectively helpful to the plotting of 9/11 is vanishingly small.
The hypothesis that about 1/3 of the populace (assuming the sampling methodology was sound) are suffering from severe Bush Derangement Syndrome (or anti-Semitism cloaked as anti-neo-conservatism, or some
combination of the two) is a far better explanation of the survey results.
