My son's teachers told us he was "hyper" back in the 1980's. They thought he should be medicated.
We thought he was just a normal boy with lot's of energy who was being forced to sit in a chair all day and be a good little "girly-man" for his female teacher.
We pulled him out of school and "home schooled" him for a few years.
He's now a college graduate and officer in the Air Force.
ADD is what all normal boys have. Now that they've done away with recess in grade schools there's no outlet for these boys.
Pity

ADD is what all normal boys have.

There are only two treatment options:(1)Medication or (2)Hang up the cell phone, turn off the computer and the television and tend to the child's needs. Unfortunately, many times medication wins out.
