When I found out my Mom's cancer had returned and was inoperable, I wept bitterly for my 'Mommy.'
She lived two weeks after that, and now has been gone over 20 years.
For me, the only consolation is that she is well and waiting for me. Praise the Lord that His promises are true!
Perfect look for a very FIT man. :)
I seriously gain weight just thinking about it!
(I see you got here after I departed!)
President Bush really is an inspiration. I remember that he said once, years ago, that if he, as President had time to exercize, then anyone could. You just need to FIND it.
That was a great motivation for me.
How are you doing?
Hey, that sounds like a threat!
My four favorite letters together again :)
Sorry I left the party early :-/
I know :-/ Don't worry, soon I'll be around here so much you'll be sick of me :)
LOL! No problem. It had to be pretty late when you were posting.
I have just lost about 18 with another 18 to go.
That is awesome!! Isn't it the best feeling when you have to buy clothes because everything in your closet is too big?
Thank you both so much!!
You were logging off just when I was logging on. :-( I was getting ready this morning while watching Designing Women on Lifetime and the commercial for Fantasia's movie came on. I have to watch it, I love horrible made for TV movies like that.
It cracked me up, too!
Thank you both so much for your confirmation of what I truly believe. My older sister and I were laughing at the prospect of our dad saying to our mom, "what took you so long" .. it was good to laugh through our tears.
One of the things I thought of first was the fact that my mom had changed from a dem to a repub (and my dad was a very strong repub). I can only imagine their conversation.
Thank you all again for your prayers and comfort.
And the thoughts of conversations between them is delightful.
Both my parents are with my younger sister now who preceded them by many years, and I'm sure they're all awaiting the rest of us, so that we too can be in the presence of Jesus. What a glorious day that will be!
Praise the Lord for that HOPE............not meaning wish, but meaning knowledge of what is true.
The hole is always there in our hearts, but the joy overcomes the pain.........in time.
Perhaps your mums are together in heaven, sharing tea and talking about the both of you!
:-)
Sounds like you are healing well. I'm glad it won't be a longer process; I was thinking perhaps you'd have to spend months in a cast or something. Are you going stir-crazy yet? I hope not.
Do you need something to read? I could e-mail you part of my book for your thoughts/suggestions . . .
Yes, mom and dad did say it was hot down there. They are LOVING the area though! Dad already bought a little boat to fish from; now he has to find a truck with which to haul it. They have air conditioning in their home for the first time in I don't know how many years--many, many. So the heat isn't bothering them too much. I do hope it cools down tho; it is finally cooler here today so hopefully there, too.
RE: B-day cakes . . . I could skip the cake and just eat a big bowl of that really yummy buttercream frosting. At least I wouldn't have the "cake" calories--LOL! Like that would matter if I ate a whole bowl of frosting . . .
I've got my laptop, TV, and my cell phone. What more could I want? ;) LOL but I'd love to see your book.
Yeah, see, that's just it. I didn't know "W" was that tall! In pictures I see he looks short! :)
