The Republican National Committee's eCampaign Director -- Patrick Ruffini -- has sent out an e-message to America. Writes Ruffini:
"A group of prominent conservative bloggers is turning discussion into action with the launch of Rightroots an effort to support some of the most important House and Senate candidates of this election cycle..."
A visit to the newly online "Rightroots" website shows a listing of GOP candidates deemed "the most important House and Senate candidates for this 2006 election cycle." Included in this select group: Diana Irey -- Congressman John Murtha's PA District 12 opponent!
The brand new website serves as a collecting house as well. Visitors can contribute to any or all of the selected candidates. As of today, candidate Diana Irey has received the most $$ contributions.
This national highlighting of the Pennsylvania race between Irey and Murtha underscores what BootMurtha.com is saying: Rep. John Murtha is an all-American problem. More and more Americans are realizing this and are contributing what they can in time, talent and money to unseat this congressman.
Added another hundred bucks in the Irey kitty.
Thanks for posting this link.
I made another donation to Mrs Irey and one to the pac.
We are retired and for the most part live on my pension and our social security.
This is a great investment for the future of all our children and grandchildren.
Thanks for the great job, you have done with this noble task of removing the A$$hole and replacing him with a decent and good lady.
Thanks, but there are a lot of us committed to redeploying Murtha. I'm simply playing a small part, as are you with your generosity. Cheers!
What a great and noble way of thinking of it! You are absolutely correct of course. Thank you for your help!
You have done an excellent job.
Last week I got a phone call to donate money to Arnold S., and I told the caller that I was donating to Mrs Irey.
She didn't know who she was, and I told her. Then, I told her about Irey's website. The lady thanked me and said that she would look into it. The lady, who called, despises Murtha and wasn't aware that we had a really good candidate to replace him. I have the feeling this lady may be part of our donor group.
Ever since my first grandchild was born a little over 7 years ago, I have felt that my donations to GW, good local candidates, the Swift Vets and good people like Mrs Irey in other states was an investment in the future of our sons and grandchildren.
Donating to Mrs Irey and the PAC which Coop posted the link to, changes the political environment. Now we republicans, can reach out of our states to help good people. The rats have been doing this for years with their phoney non profits and their sugar daddy, George $oreA$$.
Thanks to you for your hard work in replacing Murtha the lying pos.
Good work! :-)
Mine too.....March. Having a grandchild does make one think of longer term solutions. I guess when our children were growing up we just did not have the time or energy to keep on top of everything. Grandparents play an important role in the future of their grandchildren.
I have enjoyed working with the Irey campaign to unseat this ignominious, soon to be former, lying ..... CONgressman. ;*)
We have heard of NO poll (spit) on this race. I suspect there may be an internal poll (spit) by the EX-marine's people. The fact that we have not heard anything about it speaks volumes. ;*)

You are exactly right. When you hold each grandchild in you arms the first time, a couple of thoughts run through our minds besides thanking God.
1. They are a gift/reward from God for not killing their parents when they were teenagers.
2. You will be there to help them as long as you can because their parents are often too busy making a living and managing a good home.
When we keep our grandkids for a few days, they often will comment that they would like to live with us. My wife tells them, if that happened, we would be just like their parents only more tired. The 7 year old grand daughter understands that now. The 5 year old grand son isn't old enough yet.
Earlier this summer, one of their neighbors moved from their cul de sac to go to another city after the husband was promoted. Our grand daughter said we should buy the house, which was across the street. Then, we could be neighbors and be close to them. Then, they could have sleep overs, meals and other things and still live at home. I asked her what room she would want. Of course she wanted the 12 year old daughter's room done in pink.
The five year old boy is a clone of his Dad, and they butt heads all the time, He told his Dad during an argument to buy the house and move into it when his Dad got mad at him or his sister.
Now, ready for their response? Here ya go...
Thank you for contacting the Republican National Committee. Your comments will be included in the daily report to the Chairman. We appreciate your interest. That's it. Encouraging*, huh?
I know Diana is not vindictive by nature, but I hope she remembers this when she's in office.
*Can you spell c-a-n-n-e-d-r-e-s-p-o-n-s-e? I thought so. I suspect an auto replier is being used.
Well, don't be bothered. You just got a boilerplate response. See if you get a personal response within a few days. If so, you should feel special! :-)
Buuuump!
And right backatcha!
That is why I hate corresponding with any of them. They not only use it in e-mails, but in hard copy correspondence as well. I insisted the only way I would give any personal information when I call my SINator's office is if they promised NOT to waste MY money in time, paper, envelope and postage to send me a letter reiterating what I said and repeating their same old tired rhetoric. I recently received letters from both of them. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
LOL - so very true!!!
Your grandchildren sound like they keep you on your toes. The 5 y/o sounds like a strong leader in the making! ;*) Enjoy them while there is still time.
So.....did you buy the house across the street as requested? ;*)
Forgot to ping you to my above post
Add another $310 to my last update. :-)
