I believe that you are 100% right about this. But I think that the intentions were multifaceted. I believe that I'm-A-Nut-Job also thought that he could simultaneously put Israel in bad state of affairs...making himself look like a hero in the muslim world.

He may have done that- BUT- he's also made himself a hero in the eyes of (drum roll) FRANCE!! Their foreign minister yesterday said Iran is a stablizing force in the region. You can't make this stuff up.
