Cuban President Fidel Castro is transferring power provisionally to brother Raul while he undergoes an operation, Cuban TV announces.

"The surprise announcement that Castro had been operated on to repair a "sharp intestinal crisis with sustained bleeding" stunned Cubans"
Sounds like his *ss is broke. Or was that his country...hmmm.
It's certainly not there for the citizens. But I imagine everything Castro could ever have a need for has always been readily available for him. In ample supply.
I'm certainly not going to shed any tears for Fidel, but I have a bad feeling about this. Muslims having been eyeing that little country for years. Things may be about to get a whole lot worse.
Unfortunately, Raul is worse than he is.
Raul is more brutal than Fidel. We would have to wait for him to die.
not to mention Harry Belafonte. HE still has Hugo Chavez to celebrate.
The Miami people will take care of him...
I hope you are right. And I hope little Elian sees it.
Unfortunately, the Castro family members seem to live to a ripe old age. 75 is nothing to them.
This will be a sad day for the Democrats and the news media and let us not forget Hollywood loves him too.
I hope Janet Reno is there trying to defend Raul.
Bad Doctor... hahahaha
is that from some kind of "What Kids In The Hall Character Are You" quiz? Send me a link!
Woo Hoo!
"How far can you get on good looks and charm? Pretty far, I guess!"
That is a good one. Janet Reno could defend herself out of a toilet!
Isn't there ANOTHER movie coming out about Che with Benicio Toro?
Look for Chavez to send Venezuelan troops to Cuba claiming an "invitation" to help maintain order.
My brother visited Cuba earlier this year with his old college roommate. The roommate wasn't feeling well one night so my brother went to the local pharmacy. While he was there a woman came in with a prescription and handed it to the pharmacist. She was told he could not fill it because this pharmacy was only for tourists. She started crying because she would have to travel a great distance to find one for Cuban citizens. My brother offered to purchase the medicine for her and, needless to say, she was extremely grateful.
My brother was a liberal in college and over the years has gradually left the "dark side". He was very upset by the incident.
I think Castro has died. From a friend in Cuba, as we speak.
Maybe he can drag Hugo Chavez with him down to Hell. I am always amused by people who talk about the "great medical" care in Cuba - let them schedule their surgery for Havana Hospital!
I think we agree on Hugo Chavez, too! LOL!
