It happened in my extended family and there wasn't one darn thing I could do about it. All too often we have seen "early exit" in other cases too. There are organ transplant surgical teams standing by 24/7 in every major hospital and "bioethics" committees ready to approve cases whether the patient is "brain dead" or not. What is certain is that the patient will be brain dead, heart dead and every other kind of dead when he gets chopped up for spare parts.
It's depressing to say it but I no longer believe we can automatically trust doctors to do the right thing. We could once. Now there are violations. I know, most doctors are healers, and God bless all who are, but enough have bought into death culture "bioethics" to taint the profession. Dr. Ronald "humane death" Cranford, you helped tarnish the reputation of everyone who works in medicine.
I won't be an organ donor.
I wouldn't even donate our church organ and it is in better shape than any of mine.
Years ago, our typical blind faith in infalliable wisdom of doctors was broken and for that we are thankful.
All I have to do is imagine myself with quality grade organs in the hospital laying there for some accident or similar. Along come the staff, rubbing their chins wondering where they can get a heart for a profitable transplant and my chart says USDA Grade A.
Bingo, I am brain dead.
Isn't it strange how so many "good ideas" like organ donations get corrupted by liberals in a hurry?
