Now wait a second: Did James Baker say anything
publicly or was what he said off the record and brought out by hearsay? And wasn't it the same hypocritical Democrats who made light of it (it was only questionably antisemitic, even if accurately quoted) for political gain?
And David Duke wasn't running for Congress, but for the Louisiana state legislature.
Off the record? He said it, like Carter, off the record, and Hillary, off the record. Duke was state, largely reviled by Republicans as he should have been. Other than the keynote speaker at the 92 convention, who thought soome of his supporters should be brought into the party. But then he's not a Republican either. The Congressional candidate excapes me, in TN, 04 I think, bu not worth mentioning.
As an issue, who hates Jews more, Republicans or Demorcrats, and that's really the issue, goes no where.
