Yes they do. The Syrians have surface to missile batteries. But they are Soviet made and rather primitive. They also have an air force but nothing compared to the IDF. They airplanes are Russian made.

What's more important is they have generals who remember the @ss whupping they got the last time from Israel...
I think Assad is between a rock and hard place. He is basically a coward. He will not go all out against Israel but "test" the water with them.
