Pray for those in the grip of Islamic fundamentalism instead, okay. Look, IMHO, it goes back to what God demanded the ancient Israelis to do once they occupied the Promised Land and that was to obey the dictates of the ordered Herem (literally liquidating every man, woman and CHILD, plus all livestock in the new land). He did not order it because he desired blood, he ordered it, IMHO, because he did not want the Israelites taking booty (making concubines of captive women) and because He knew the future. The Israelites disobeyed.
Secondly, the Arab nation was, according to Scripture, created because Abraham would not wait on the Lord. Abraham took Sarah's handmaiden and impregnated her with Ishmael (the first born and birth right bearer) but God desired him to wait for the miracle he promised, the miracle of Isaac from an aged, post-menopausal Sarah...
God made a great nation of Ishmael just as He did for Isaac, but somewhere around 400 B.C. it became fascinated with a little-known leader of trade caravans named Muhammad who basically invented a new religion from what he knew of the Old Testament--only spiced with fictional accounts of him being able to leap through space on horseback, etc. The religion at first was peaceful, but over time Muhammad added new tenets as he grew into old age and senility. The new tenets allowed for outright violence against any enemy; rather than that of "love your neighbor" Christianity or "forgiveness" prescribed in Judaism.
Over the years, interpretation of Islam became more and more radical and unreasonable. I, among others, saw this religion as a danger to humankind but until Sept. 11, 2001, I was still willing to tolerate it. Now, no more!
If I am walking through the woods and see a rabid animal I will shoot it; and should I discover its den and its offspring to be rabid too, I reason that I should shoot them as well. Sorry you cannot understand this.
