We applaud your recent joint statement concerning the new conflict in Lebanon at the G8 summit held in S. Petersburg, Russia. While there may still be differences in your individual opinions on the matter, your message demanding an immediate return of the abducted soldiers, a cessation of missile attacks against Israel as immediate steps to stop the widening balance, and your understanding of Israel's right to defend itself while using utmost restraint, is greatly appreciated.

U.S. President George Bush has the broader vision in seeing the potential threat of appeasing these groups and their sponsoring terrorists States. We are all concerned over the loss of innocent lives, but this is a price people pay for allowing a terrorist infrastructure to be built up within heavily populated civilian areas.
Leaving the terrorist organizations and their sponsors alone today will exact a deep price on the civilized world down the road. The deterrence the free world currently enjoys as nuclear Superpower nations will mean absolutely nothing in just a few short years. While civilized nations of this world have this power but refrain from using it, countries such as Iran and Syria have already indicated their willingness and actual use of any and weapons at their use.
Do not be confused by media biased reports and the liberal left. Stand firm and resolute in backing Israel's right to defend itself. Israel's gains in this war are not hers alone but will serve the good of all peaceful nations.
