He can make a new Conspiracy Theory movie (a good movie BTW), "Conspiracy Theory II - The Jooos"
The "original" report was probably "found" by an LEO who was not happy with what his superiors were whitewashing.
The apple didn't fall far from the tree.Sad.
Mel has caved to what his contemporaries think, looks like it.
Still, hollywood is antisemitic...and that is still not illegal..or news.
True, because Joe Schmoe didn't make the Passion of the Christ.
Well, he is worth in excess of $800M, and is the richest actor in the world.
No, because Joe Schmoe has no influence and is not a public figure.
His father also has theories about Jews and Freemasons behind Vatican II.
If true, Frank Rich was right.
To be honest, I thought Mel Gibson had been acting weird as of late, maybe there is something wrong with him. Might be something he inherited.
They would have been more demonstrably true if the remarks had been about Muslims.
I doubt it. He will have to do penance for a long time to convince skeptics-but-we-gave-him-the-benefit-of-the-doubt that he is not an anti-semite.
Frankly, I don't think he will even try. This confirms what he really thinks.
I just wrote the same thing. See post 42.
For cryin' out loud, H'weird is known for telling lies. Plus, H'weird has its own Jewish mafia, its Italian mafia, etc.
Being drunk does not change your views. It only makes you more likely to spout off at the mouth about them.
The booze loosened his tongue. Sorry Mel, you can't unring a bell.

The following is the complete text of Mel Gibson's statement regarding his arrest for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol:
"After drinking alcohol on Thursday night, I did a number of things that were very wrong and for which I am ashamed. I drove a car when I should not have, and was stopped by the L.A. County sheriff's. The arresting officer was just doing his job and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person.
"I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested, and said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable. I am deeply ashamed of everything I said.
"Also, I take this opportunity to apologize to the deputies involved for my belligerent behavior. They have always been there for me in my community and indeed probably saved me from myself. I disgraced myself and my family with my behavior and for that I am truly sorry.
"I have battled the disease of alcoholism for all of my adult life and profoundly regret my horrific relapse. I apologize for any behavior unbecoming of me in my inebriated state and have already taken necessary steps to ensure my return to health."
In Gibson's case, he revealed exactly what he thought of Jews while under the influence.
Truth serum.
So would a lot of those who now stand in judgment.
I do not believe the "truth of who you are" comes out while drinking. This seems to be the basis for a lot of condemnation.
Drinking can loosen inhibitions, for sure, and while drinking comments can and do, come out entirely wrong.
I don't stand by many hollywood stars..I think they are all $--t..but Mel, I don;t know. If any of them deserve a break..it's him
They are? better alert Spielberg, Katzenberg and the Wienstien brothers..

A week before Mel Gibson's movie about Jesus Christ hits theaters, his father has gone on an explosive rant against Jews - claiming they fabricated the Holocaust and are conspiring to take over the world.
"They're after one world religion and one world government," Hutton Gibson, 85, said in a radio interview that will air Monday night.
"That's why they've attacked the Catholic Church so strongly, to ultimately take control over it by their doctrine."
In the bizarre interview, Gibson also said Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan should be lynched and called for the government to be overthrown.
The movie star's father has made outrageous statements about the Holocaust and Jewish conspiracies before.
