I don't know, but if you're drunk and driving on PCH you should have your butt handed to you. Personally, I love the road -- probably one of the ten best in the U.S. -- but it's dangerous as hell.
Agree completely. I try to avoid it in the summer. He must have only been able to get going that speed because it was the middle of the night. Otherwise it is stop and go all the time!
I drove PCH from SF to LA once. What a white-knuckler that was (breathtaking views, breathtaking near misses). I had to pull over a few times just to let all the speeders pass. Some areas are normal but the part between Carmel and SLO was worth the rest of it.
