LOL! I've never been to TSG before. Pretty funny, in a perverse way.

Read this! This is a bit more respectable news source and as you can see when you read it they say that Gibson was taken into custody without incident. Makes this story not credible!"
Your link points out that he is an alcoholic that has been in the 12 step program, that means anything could be true about his extreme behavior while intoxicated.
I think this is one DWI the media will pay attention to.

I know absolutely nothing about this incident...but, I DO know that Mel can be downright catty & hateful with his 'talk!'
In an interview with Diane Sawyer he could not wait to start badmouthing George W about no WMDs...and he brought it up!
Months later he was being interviewed by Sean Hannity and he was still hound dogging the President...big time
Ditto, in an interview with Matt Lauer.
Those of you who think he votes republican just because he made Passion of the Christ...I think would be fooled!
An Angel, he ain't!

"Gibson failed both alcohol breath and field sobriety tests, deputies said. His blood-alcohol level was .12, Deputy Anthony Moore said. The legal limit is .08 in California."
Makes you wonder how they got his cooperation to have TWO sobriety tests if he was so belligerant with the cops, spewing hate-filled anti-semitic and sexually abusive remarks. Something stinks here.

There are a lot of people right here on FR that don't like Bush's decisions about immigration, the Iraq war, his nominations and appointments.

Celebs in Malibu are handled with kid gloves. I suspect the scene was uglier than is being reported.

"Without incident is usually defined to mean no one was hurt."
Or that anything unusual happened, which means he cooperated without creating an incident or without them having to use force to get him to comply with the arrest. That tells me that nothing happened like what is reported in this article.

Uglier than which report? The TMZ? Or the "taken into custory without incident" report?

Get over it. Mel's just like the rest of them, apparently. I don't choose to judge whether Mr. Gibson did or did not do what TMZ.com reported. I do know I've read several different pieces and each one of them cited TMZ.
Your statement seems to paint with a pretty broad brush though, I don't know who "the rest of them" are that you refer to.

"He could plead insanity. Worked earlier this week."
And the Muslim who opened fire at the Jewish Center in Washington yesterday has already started forming his defense. Not guilty by reason of being by-polar according to his family.

He was probably cooperative but kept up a steady stream of unpleasant patter. I'd guess that at some point he stepped over the line, made a threat and the cop said, "okay, now we got a game" and put everything he said into the report.

Mel has mentioned in several interviews in the past that he was an alcoholic and was suicidal at one point in his life until he quit drinking. I don't what he did, or did not do, but he's obviously fallen off the wagon and needs help, and maybe a little empathy.

...and when these...
"There are a lot of people right here on FR that don't like Bush's decisions about immigration, the Iraq war, his nominations and appointments,"...go on TV to supposedly promote their movies, they make it a BIG point to belittle/critize the President right before an election?!?
Pleeze!

Gibson has proven by his statements over the last few years that he is a virulent Bush hater. His latest escapade proves that he is a certified nut case.
It is amazing how Hannity aligns himself with these characters: Mel Gibson, the runaway bride and John McCain. Makes me question his sanity.
