What does the story of Jesus have to do with FALSE portrayel of characters in a STUPID MOVIE. Everything. If you have no knowledge of the events, how can you judge if the movie was accurate?

Ditto. At this point, either one WANTS to believe Mel is a bigot or NOT.

TMZ is managed by Harvey Levin, an entertainment lawyer (?) in Los Angeles who was the former exec producer of "Celebrity Justice." It's starting to be known for creating its own news (an example is that totally fake crocodile-tears Paris Hilton interview from last week).

TMZ was launched last December by AOL.
[Talk about a spectacular flameout. Mel is toast.]

Interesting post.
I'm still puzzled as to why various Jews (self-indentified) were so upset at the "Passion of the Christ" & were forever dragging up charges of "anti-semitism" against Mel Gibson.
I frankly don't care what Mel Gibson says when drunk. That various people wish him ill and will do anything to destroy him seems obvious.

[Talk about a spectacular flameout. Mel is toast.] I still maintain it is the God-given right of every mega-celebrity to have one free total-meltdown incident. Mel was wayyy overdue!

The story of Jesus is a nice fable. Cannot be proved.
To: JennysCool
I thought he already used up his flameout chit in the 80's, but I don't remember the details.
Either way, the anti-semitism and rotten language are pretty hard to get past. This is more embarrassing than Pat O'Brien's voice mails. And those were pretty damn embarrassing.

You know, I missed those Pat O'Brien things.
I'm just so culturally hampered!
I must admit to still being amused at the Glen Campbell drunk-driving-in-a-golf-cart story. I think of it often, particularly the part where he's serenading the jailhouse with "Rhinestone Cowboy."
Now, THAT'S celebrity meltdown!

The story of Jesus is a nice fable. Cannot be proved. So you are arguing that a movie of a "fable" is inaccurate.
LOL troll.
Btw, it can be proved. There are contemporary historical references such as Josephus.

Obviously Mel (or anyone) on booze is not a good thing. Lack of self control.
If any of this is true of course.

Great post (if I may say so).
And I'm praying for Mel too. I feel sort of close to him.
