Why outrage only against Israel's retaliatiion? Why pressure being exerted on Israel behind the scenes? Because Israel might upset things in Iraq? Victor Hanson says what we suspect...the world deplores the Jewish state because it is strong and can strike back rather than suffer.Israel is the whipping boy for all Middle East states who hate the West. If she is only allowed one strike for each strike she receives, can kill only one for each loss she sustains, Hezzbolah and Hamas backed by Iran and Syria may wipe her off the map if Israel is forced to play by the “international” community (KOFI)'s demand for “restraint.

Why outrage only against Israel's retaliatiion?

Because (and it's an imperfect analogy, but so are all analogies) Israel is the closest thing to a nation of Conservatives there is.

This is exactly it. And the USA is hated for the same reason.

NEIGHBORHOOD BULLY
By Bob Dylan

(well worth the 99 cents at iTunes)

Well, the neighborhood bully, he's just one man,
His enemies say he's on their land.
They got him outnumbered about a million to one,
He got no place to escape to, no place to run.
He's the neighborhood bully.

The neighborhood bully just lives to survive,
He's criticized and condemned for being alive.
He's not supposed to fight back, he's supposed to have thick skin,
He's supposed to lay down and die when his door is kicked in.
He's the neighborhood bully.

The neighborhood bully been driven out of every land,
He's wandered the earth an exiled man.
Seen his family scattered, his people hounded and torn,
He's always on trial for just being born.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, he knocked out a lynch mob, he was criticized,
Old women condemned him, said he should apologize.
Then he destroyed a bomb factory, nobody was glad.
The bombs were meant for him.
He was supposed to feel bad.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, the chances are against it and the odds are slim
That he'll live by the rules that the world makes for him,
'Cause there's a noose at his neck and a gun at his back
And a license to kill him is given out to every maniac.
He's the neighborhood bully.

He got no allies to really speak of.
What he gets he must pay for, he don't get it out of love.
He buys obsolete weapons and he won't be denied
But no one sends flesh and blood to fight by his side.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, he's surrounded by pacifists who all want peace,
They pray for it nightly that the bloodshed must cease.
Now, they wouldn't hurt a fly.
To hurt one they would weep.
They lay and they wait for this bully to fall asleep.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Every empire that's enslaved him is gone,
Egypt and Rome, even the great Babylon.
He's made a garden of paradise in the desert sand,
In bed with nobody, under no one's command.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Now his holiest books have been trampled upon,
No contract he signed was worth what it was written on.
He took the crumbs of the world and he turned it into wealth,
Took sickness and disease and he turned it into health.
He's the neighborhood bully.

What's anybody indebted to him for?
Nothin', they say.
He just likes to cause war.
Pride and prejudice and superstition indeed,
They wait for this bully like a dog waits to feed.
He's the neighborhood bully.

What has he done to wear so many scars?
Does he change the course of rivers?
Does he pollute the moon and stars?
Neighborhood bully, standing on the hill,
Running out the clock, time standing still,
Neighborhood bully.

Hansen is great. I've been saying pretty much the same thing for a long time, but it takes someone with some talent to put it into print.

Psalms 83

"O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. See how Your enemies are astir, how Your foes rear their heads."

"With cunning they conspire against Your people; they plot against those You cherish. 'Come,' they say, 'let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.'"

"With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against You--the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot. Selah."

"Do to them as You did to Midian, as You did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon, who perished at Endor and became like refuse on the ground. Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, who said, 'Let us take possession of the pasturelands of God.'"

"Make them like tumbleweed, O my God, like chaff before the wind. As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, so pursue them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your storm. Cover their faces with shame so that men will seek Your name, O YHVH."

"May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace. Let them know that You, whose name is YHVH--that You alone are the Most High over all the earth."

“Multinational force,” “third-world mercenaries who sympathize with Hezbollah.”

They are from China, France, Finland, Ghana, India, Ireland, Italy and Poland. Which are "third-world mercenaries who sympathize with Hezbollah". Dude is a retard.
