One dead, at least five injured in shooting at Jewish Federation in Seattle
SEATTLE One person has been killed and at least five others have been injured in a shooting at the Jewish Federation at 2031 Third Ave. in downtown Seattle. One suspect has been taken into custody....
Sources told KING 5 the suspect is a 31-year-old Pakistani man with a criminal background. He is from the Pasco but his citizenship status or how long he has lived in the United States is unknown. Also unknown is what sort of criminal record he has. Officials are on the way to the Pasco to interview his family....
According to the Seattle Times, a man got through security at the Jewish Federation and told staff members, "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry at Israel," then began shooting, according to Amy Wasser-Simpson, the vice president for planning and community services for the Jewish Federation.
A Harborview Medical Center spokesperson said five women were brought in, and three of them are in critical condition. They have not yet been identified. Their ages are 23, 27, 29, 19 and 43. The 43-year-old woman was reportedly shot in the abdomen. Two vicitms were in satisfactory condition: a woman, who's 17 weeks pregnant whowas shot in the arm and another victim with a knee injury....
...It's not yet known if the incident is politically motivated. The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle says on its Web site that its mission is to "ensure Jewish survival and enhance the quality of Jewish life locally, in Israel and worldwide."
...Iantha Sidell, past chairperson of the Jewish Federation Center, said: "We believe in life and it's hard to believe there will ever be peace when you're dealing with people who don't value life."

"Liberal media outlets are anti-american."
They've been cowed by Muslim idiots. It's now politically incorrect to report facts.
"It's not yet known if the incident is politically motivated."
The condescending head of the Arab American Institute, Dr, James Zogby, was on CNBC yesterday *itching about the way Americans think about muslims -- he will love the above comment.
Your still right about Education!!
Connected? Maybe not. But at this point, it wouldn't be surprising either...
Thank you for the reminder.
I would recommend that anyone who is an obvious target (i.e. works at a place with "Jewish" in the name) carry a concealed weapon. Even though Seattle is one of the great liberal bastions of the West Coast, a CCW in Washington state is must issue and the laws are some of the best in the country (though they still infringe on the 2nd amendment). It is a pity that in 2006 many people don't realize that a personal firearm can be an effective way to prevent or mitigate terrorism.
He killed an unborn child. Just put him in the general population of any prison, and watch the fun. Even cons are more concerned about unborn children than the pro-choice crowd is.
Sure he could. He could have stated "I hate Jews."
I have only heard that the terrorist shot a pregnant woman in the arm and the her child was OK. Have you heard any new information that changes that?
His "I'm angry at Israel" statement made it perfectly clear that his actions were politically motivated. ......except to the media, of course.
All I can say is, I'm glad I was wrong.
The best book on public education was written by Albert Jay Nock, "Memoirs of a Superfluous Man"(1943).
"It is one of my oddest experiences that I have never been able to find any one who would tell me what the net social value of compulsory universal literacy actually comes to when the balance of advantage and disadvantage is drawn, or wherein that value consists.
The few Socratic questions which on occasion I have put to persons presumably able to tell me have always gone by the board.
These persons seemed to think, like Protagoras on the teaching of virtue, that the thing was so self-evident and simple that I should know all about it without being told; but in the hardness of my head or heart I still do not find it so.
Universal literacy helps business by extending the reach of advertising and increasing its force; and also in other ways. Beyond that I see nothing on the credit side.
On the debit side, it enables scoundrels to beset, dishevel and debauch such intelligence as is in the power of the vast majority of mankind to exercise. There can be no doubt of this, for the evidence of it is daily spread wide before us on all sides.
More than this, it makes many articulate who should not be so, and otherwise would not be so. It enables mediocrity and submediocrity to run rampant, to the detriment of both intelligence and taste. In a word, it puts into people's hands an instrument which very few can use, but which everyone supposes himself fully able to use; and the mischief thus wrought is very great."
Should be mandatory reading for Freshmen in all colleges.
I wonder how angry Moslems will be when this guy hangs?
Makes me wonder if the militias training in the Minnesota wilderness don't have at least one point-that we need to know how to defend ourselves and our families and homes, because the gub'mint damn sure doesn't look like doing it,when they're too afraid of being non-PC to stop the Muzzies from destroying this country.Must be PC at all costs, including letting the Islamic pigs murder citizens at will!
(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
Heard about this just now. Islam and its adhererents are surely devils. Time that we closed down mosques in this country and asked muslimes to choose between islam and the US.
Islam is a total life program.
It's subsets are religion, politics, military, social and behavioral. There is no aspect of Muslim life that is not dominated by Islam and Sharia.
Islam only parades as a religon for political and military advantage.
AND ... it works. The world better wake up!
