"BTW, not all Mongoloids are the same. Most northern East Asians and indigenous North Americans (China, Korea, Japan, Siberia, Inuits, First Nations, northern Native Americans) today have Sinodonty ("Chinese teeth"), while most Southeast Asians (Taiwanese aboriginals, Philippines, Thailand, Borneo, Laos, Malaysia) have Sundadonty. Sinodonty is much newer than Sundadonty. Northern Mongoloid and Southern Mongoloid might have had very different origins." The Sunda part of Sundadonty is derived (see Christy Turner) from Sundaland in SE Asia. The Northern Mongoloids are a split off from the Southern Mongoloids and did occur some time later.
