I sure hope it was deliberate... that would indicate the IDF had good information that the UN observers were cooperating with Hezbollah leaders and providing shelter... no way they deliberately target it without that knowledge... would be another nail in the UN coffin.
How many nails is it going to take to keep that vampire in??
I'll bet they were sheltering a Hezzie leader in their bunker, giving him coffee and, er, a spot to call in missle attacks.
Why would the UN troops stay there after the opening of hostilities across the border? What exactly are they observing? DO they take notes of what they see? Just exactly where to those notes go once they have recorded their observations? To what end? Do they call the cops if they see some drug dealers on the corner? What gives?
Yes that's correct. This is not a friendly fire incident or mistake, in my opinion. U.N. positions and equipment have been used by Hezbollah for years. the only question is this: Israel had the opportunity to embarass/disgrace their arch enemies, Annan and U.N., in a BIG way, but they have kept mum.
" the UN observers were cooperating with Hezbollah leaders "
I'd love to hear Israel claim proof of this.
"I sure hope it was deliberate... that would indicate the IDF had good information that the UN observers were cooperating with Hezbollah leaders and providing shelter... no way they deliberately target it without that knowledge... would be another nail in the UN coffin."
Could of been deliberate to keep UN "peacekeepers" out so they can finish destroying Hezbollah's military capacity. The UN would like find a way to ease pressure off Hezbollahs activities and they would easily re-arm. I want to feel bad about those four people losing their lives but I first want to know what these UN reps were doing and why they were there. Sorry, but the UN has lost all of it's reputation permanently in my eyes.
