Poor little feller. I remember how tiny and cuddly my 3 year olds were, quick to give a hug,and full of love. My heart breaks for his family, his sister has lost a brother, and his mama has lost her sweet boy. I have a grandson near that age,I would never get over his loss. I cannot imagine how much sorrow is in his mother's heart. We will keep Christopher and his family in our prayers.

Wow!
A humane, compassionate post on this thread!
You're a wonderful person to do that.

When my kids were 3 yrs old they were each about 36 inches tall and weighed about 36 pounds.
It boggles my mind to think there would be a floor fixture in a department store, so heavy it needed TWO MEN to lift it off that baby's body, that could be so unstable as to fall on that baby, whether he touched it, pulled on it or whatever.
He was probably about 36 inches tall and probably weighed about 36 pounds.
I also remember my child looking into mirrors and playing with his reflection. I remember standing beside him and laughing and mugging with him when he would do it. I can so easily imagine my 3 yr old child playing 5 feet away (one arm's reach and one step) while I tried clothes on the 5 yr old.
This thread is a train wreck of self righteousness. Your compassion stands out. God Bless.
Now I am going to STOP reading these sad screeds.
