Yep. I read about that. We did have a black bear show up in downtown last month. He wandered in from the Ocala National Forest. I'm just about 5 minutes away from that...so it's not impossible.
But the good news is that after watching Katrina, I bought a big knife and also have a new gun for the first time.
Unfortunately I live in NJ, if an intruders breaks into our homes we are suppose to attempt to run away prior to using deadly force, and than only after we warn them verbally of our intent to use deadly force.
