Sending "humanitarian aid" to Lebanon sends the wrong message, as it implies agreement that Israel is targetting civilians... while no such aid to Israel is announced. It sends a message of appeasement to the Arab world, probably one of the agreements that Dubya made with the Saudis yesterday.
On the other hand, I'm not sure what "anti-Syrian/anti-Hizb" channels there are in Lebanon. Are you referring to Lebanese Christians?

That would imply that it is to help humans...must be to help the Israelis.
I don't agree with your position that our supplying aid "implies agreement that Israel is targetting civilians", and that we are not giving aid to Israel.
Israel still has accessible roads, a functioning airport and open ports where they get supplies (including military supplies from us). Lebanon does not have supply routes (and that's a good thing) but they still need aid for their people.
We're trying to support a democratic Lebanon. We are providing the carrot while Israel is providing the stick.
Not sure if we're sending any humanitarian aid to Israel- but we ARE sending them an extra-quick-STAT order of bunker busters and assorted armaments...:)
