I will take that as a sem-humorous statement. I spent half my life trying to undo the damage institutions did on my children and will spend the next half trying to keep them from causing damage to my grandchildren.

Ok, semi humorous. It is well known among my children that when they come to visit Grandma and Grandpa, their children WILL behave. That means NO whining, no crying because they didn't get what they want, no disrespect towards adults...you get the idea.

Really, I love my kids and their kids but I have never tolerated a lack of respect in a child or one behaving like a spoiled brat. The biggest problem as I see it these days is parents trying to act lie a friend to their children instead of a parent.
