I think it was more to promote the White House stance that Islam is a religion of peace
FWIW..whatever Karen Hughes was supposed to accomplish overseas seems to have been a failure, unfortunately
I think if it was a failure it was because no matter how much you try to reach out to so-called moderates, they will always see us as the "Great Satan"
I guess you missed the post above which was the official statement of Karen's job responsibilities. It is to promote AMERICA and to counter terrorist propoganda.
