Good morning, everyone.
I opened my newspaper this morning and there was a huge photo of the UN 'humanitarian relief' guy, Jan Engelund (sp), doing his ultra-compassionate pose while listening to an elderly Lebanese woman, with a crowd of semi-hysterical Lebanese around him and rubble all around in the background. (Ultra-compassionate pose: head cocked at an angle listening intently to the victim, concerned look on the face, eyes scrunched together, fingers locked together over the stomach, you know the drill).
He could have taken the same picture in Israel. But no surprise that he's in Lebanon blathering on about Israel's 'disproportionate response' and the humanitarian crisis it's created, and getting posed pictures made that illustrate his concern.
Apparently it hasn't occurred to him that if the UN had done their job for the last 28 years or so, Israel wouldn't have to respond at all, let alone disproportionately.
IMO, Lebanon needs to be leveled.
They gave up their sovereignty in 2000...when Israel left.
They "hired" Hessians in the form of Hezbollah...that promised to protect their borders.
This is what they got.
Golda Meir was correct when she said, "Until they love their children more than they hate us...there can be no peace".
I saw about 20 seconds of that creep yesterday on CNN..immediate of change channel..he's an impossible man.
