You don't have to have a baby in order to pass on a family heritage. Many people adopt because of infertility and/or by choice.

i couldn't agree more. We have two biological children and I always wanted to adopt a child from China but couldn't get the husband on board for that one. I hope someday to have a Chinese granddaugther!
