Left wing Newsday's take on the President's speech took on a negative tone, as to be expected from Newsday:

Otherwise, Newsday has faithfully published their daily anti-Bush 'letter to the editor' screed which is specious and non-specific in its complaints, taking generalities where no generality has gone before:
Bush considers himself above law
(Newsday does this on a daily basis, there is always at least ONE anti-Bush rant in their letters ... my guess is that they manufacture those letters using fictitious names)
